My mother and me, 1980.
She shaped so much of who I became—and watching her write, line by line, is where I first caught the writing bug. She was the inspiration behind The Little Black Book, and in many ways, everything I’ve ever done. I only wish she knew.
About me…
I write memoir and literary nonfiction drawn from a life fully lived—stories shaped by experience, memory, and a watchful eye for the moments that stay with us.
My piece, The Little Black Book, earned 1st place in the Writer’s Digest Annual Competition—feel free to head to the Stories tab and read it.
Every now and then, I slip in some fiction—because sometimes the truth needs a little breathing room.
I’m currently at work on a book, tentatively titled Stifled, that explores girls’ education in the 1960s and the unseen forces that shaped who we were allowed to become.
